Online giving has long since usurped paper checks and money envelopes in the charitable giving space. This has made it easier for patrons to give and for businesses to receive. The only tricky bit is how to set up these online giving options.
When handling people’s money, you must be certain you have the best tool for the job. This article will discuss our best WordPress donation plugin choices.
What is a WordPress Donation Plugin?
A WordPress donation plugin for your WordPress site lets you take in donations from your users. Instead of using an off-site donation tool, a donation plugin allows you to accept donations directly on your WordPress site. This allows you more freedom to design your own non-profit or charity site using any WordPress theme or Layout Pack. It also lets your website work more cohesively for you. I also like WordPress plugins for this because they tend to be easier to track analytics (from first visit to final donation).
While it may seem simple, there are a few key features that every dependable donation plugin should have. For example, you will want a donation plugin that works on desktop and mobile devices and adapts to your website design. When it comes to functionality, it’s important that your donation plugin supports popular payment methods, delivers receipts to donors, and enables recurring payments from donors. You also want a historical record of these donations and the ability to search for particular payments.
But enough talking. Here are our best suggestions for donation plugins that are usable on WordPress.

Just a note… The Basic GiveWP package for $149 does not include recurring donations.
looks good, Thanks for sharing, I should migrate from Blogger. Great article and thanks for the share.
Why use a 3-rd party plugin that integrates with Stripe when you can use their own? Stripe has a plugin that is flawless and integrates well with Divi. We have a membership site, and it integrates well with our membership plugin WP Membership.
Although it’s not really a donation plugin, I used SureCart for this purpose, it’s fantastic, it works both for one-time donations and for recurring donations (subscription). Worth looking into.
So… which one integrates the best with Divi?
They all do, the real question is which one integrates well with your payment processor.
I can’t speak for all of them, but I’ve used Give quite successfully with Divi.
I learned so much from this WordPress donation plugin, thank you so much for writing such articles!
I haven’t used wordpress before but it looks like it has all kinds of cool plugins. Maybe I should migrate from Blogger. Great article and thanks for the share.
I wish CiviContribute from CiviCRM would make one of these lists. Most donation plugins have a free tier but to get the useful features you need to upgrade and not in the spirit of open source and charity. CiviContribute would give you all of the premium features at no cost.
Yes but seems that I must install the server code on a own server that have a pricing too and need a tech administrator.
