Logos are crucial to any marketing strategy, allowing business owners to showcase their brand through marketing materials, websites, or merchandise such as t-shirts. However, designing a logo can be challenging. In the past, new business owners would need to hire a graphic designer or struggle through the task independently.

There are plenty of tips for creating memorable logos, but not everyone is up to the task. That’s where a logo maker comes in. In this DesignEvo review, we’ll explore how easy it is to create a compelling logo for your business and showcase DesignEvo’s features and pricing.

Let’s dive in.

What is DesignEvo?

DesignEvo review

DesignEvo is an online logo maker that provides thousands of templates and a simple logo editor to build custom logos for your business.

DesignEvo started in 2017 with aspirations of helping small businesses and startups design their logo easily. With DesignEvo, there’s no need to drag out the sketchbook or employ a more advanced program like Adobe Illustrator to create it. Users can open the logo editor and create a new, effective logo for their brand in minutes.

Features of DesignEvo

Although DesignEvo corners the market for simplicity, that doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice features. It’s a complete online logo editor with tools such as thousands of free templates and icons, a text editor, and font and color options.

1000’s of Pre-Made Logo Templates

popular logos

One of the best features of DesignEvo is the pre-made templates. There are over 10,000 of them, complete with an icon, type treatment, and custom colors. Users can easily browse offerings by searching by keyword or browsing through categories. Some options include Animals & pets, food & drink, lifestyle, medical, non-profit, sports & fitness, and countless others. The popular category also features some of the best options you’ll find. Now, you can opt for one of the popular options or take things a bit further by enacting the help of the logo editor to make it your own.

By hovering over a logo you like, you can save it as a favorite, view similar styles, customize its colors and fonts, or even select a different icon.

Logo Editor

As excellent as the pre-made logos are, the best thing about DesignEvo is the logo editor. The program’s founders hit a home run with the simplified editor, providing users with only the most essential features for building a custom logo. Although there aren’t a lot of bells and whistles here, what is there is more than enough to tackle the job.

You’ll have access to thousands of icons, hundreds of fonts in various styles, and a color picker for keeping things consistent. Suppose you need a little help during the design process. In that case, DesignEvo’s website provides plenty of tips and tricks to help you.

DesignEvo Pricing

DesignEvo provides two pricing tiers for purchasing your logo. You can go with the Basic package for a one-time fee of $24.99. It includes a high-resolution JPG and PNG up to 5000px. Unlike other logo-making software, you can continue to make changes to your logo after purchase. You’ll also receive lifetime support and print-ready files of your logo. However, you won’t be able to download font files, have copyright ownership, or access vector files.

The best value lies in their Plus package, which provides everything in the Basic package, along with PDF and SVG vector files, font files, and copyright protection for a $49.99 one-time fee.

DesignEvo also offers a free tier that allows you to download a 300x300px logo without a transparent background. To do that, you’ll have to give attribution to DesignEvo wherever you use it. For most, the best deal is the Plus package because you can use it wherever you want, including all your marketing materials.

DesignEvo Pros and Cons

To make our DesignEvo review as transparent as possible, it’s important to outline its pros and cons. On the plus side, DesignEvo is intuitive and easy to use. There are also thousands of templates, icons, and fonts to choose from, so finding the perfect look is a breeze. The one-time fee and logo edits after purchase are also great features. Some other logo generators, such as Looka, don’t offer the same courtesy. In addition to these benefits, a robust blog provides tips and tricks for creating an effective logo.

However, DesignEvo has its challenges. The free version only provides a logo up to 300px, and you must give credit to DesignEvo for its creation. Plus, there’s no copyright protection for the free or Basic plans. Those looking for a more robust solution for creating logos may want to consider other options, such as Looka or Adobe Express, especially if they want the added benefit of a complete branding kit.

Final Thoughts on DesignEvo

DesignEvo is a simple yet effective platform for creating logos quickly. It allows those with little to no design skills to create a logo for their business, complete with a custom icon, slogan, and background. It has plenty of options, too, with over 10,000 pre-made templates, hundreds of fonts and icon choices, and custom colors. The logo editor is intuitive, simple, and built specifically for beginners. With affordable pricing and plenty of options to create the perfect logo, DesignEvo is a must-have. However, suppose you’re looking for a logo maker with a complete branding kit. In that case, we suggest checking out Looka.

  1. Awful! I’m a graphic designer and these solutions are the death of design. The logo is one of the most important aspects for the brand and relying on solutions like these, regardless of the quality or otherwise of the proposed solutions, is a kick in the lower parts. Please invest at least some money in creating your company logo!! A good designer studies and proposes targeted solutions to their clients, not clipart-like logos

    • I appreciate your perspective as a graphic designer, and I understand your concern about the importance of a well-crafted logo for a brand. Your dedication to creating unique and targeted solutions is commendable, and I agree that investing in professional design can significantly impact a brand’s identity.

  3. Quote: “In the past, new business owners would need to hire a graphic designer or struggle through the task independently.”

You could have chosen a different wording: “Business owners who are invested in their brand are well advised to hire a graphic designer.” A company logo is just one part of a brand concept. For smaller businesses with simple needs a generic logo creator might flatter the budget. Because that’s what this is.

Dear Deanna – this might be a harsh opinion but Divi would be nothing without the community of designers using it as a creative tool. This article is a boomerang shot.
