Let’s Welcome Our New Meetup Meetup Group and Host
Please give a warm welcome to our new host! We just onboarded a new Divi meetup, and we’re thrilled to introduce you to the her.
Divi Brisbane, Queensland, Australia
Meet the host, Lisa Hewitt:
My name is Lisa, owner of LJH Digital Solutions and I’ve been where my clients are right now, wanting to build a website and not knowing where to start. I understand the many hours that can go into website design and maintenance, which is all made so much easier with Divi. It can quickly become overwhelming when you aren’t sure what to do and there are other things you need to focus on, building the Aussie Divi Community.
Recently I stepped outside my comfort zone where I spoke at WordCamp Sydney about the Divi changes 4.0 whilst it was terrifying, it was such a wonderful experience.
I have a Divi group for Australian members, so we want to offer support to other Divi users
Divi Brisbane already hosted their first virtual meetup! We’re so excited for the vision that Lisa is bringing to the Divi Aussie community!

Roundtable With Divi
Everyone joined in the discussion and we went down the technical alley. No question went unanswered. We discussed and dissected website integrations with Divi. The other topic of interest was the anticipated Divi performance update.
At the time of our meetup, the Divi update wasn’t yet delivered, it is now, and it is exactly as promised. Divi is speeded up and moving at a rapid pace.
Divi Chicago fire! It’s a thing! 🔥
Divi Washington DC, USA
From the Host, John Browning:
Attendees: 6
We got together this month for a Divi Q&A session, answered some great questions, and got a chance to experiment with a few Divi modules that many of us don’t routinely use.
Killin’ it, Divi DC! 💯
Divi Kolkata, India
From the Host, Rajesh Ravidas:
Attendees: 4
In the August meetup we had four regular Divi members joined where we discussed and resolved some of our Divi problems for each other.
Also, Manjay gave us a quick demo on how can we slide anything in Divi using slick.js.
For [our] September meetup, Manjy will be taking a full session and show us how to slide anything in Divi using slick.js.
Love the consistancy, Divi Kolkata! Woot! 🙌🏼
Divi Los Angeles, California, USA
From the Host, Julius Lopez:
Attendees: 9
What was planned to be a visit with a popular Divi plugin and theme developer, took a bit of a turn having learned, after the event, that our guest’s home suffered some water damage. Shifting gears, we dove into what Divi extensions and plugins others use to help solve issues or provide enhancements to their projects.
I love how Divi LA is excited to meet more of you!
Divi Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
From the Hosts, Tracy Champagne & Phil Reinhardt:
Attendees: 8
We had a good event of questions and answers… Everyone learned a few new things about Divi and left with all their questions answered.
Check this committed group out!
Divi Rio de Janiero, Brazil
From the Host, Daniel Peres Lins:

We could discuss many aspects of WooCommece modules and how we can use Divi to build eCommerce. We also talked about speed optimizations.
Yay, Divi Rio! Making me smile! 😄
Divi Sacramento, California, USA
From the Hosts, Rosalinda Huck & Elizabeth Hahn:

For our topic meeting, co-organizer Elizabeth talked about the concept, function, and sometimes overlooked the importance of wireframing. Talking points included how to do it, why you’d want to wireframe, and various tools and methods for wireframing. Then for our monthly Q&A meeting, our topics of discussion included saving and migrating layouts to use on other Divi sites, making your site more accessible, and how best to use the Divi library and global presets. Join us next month as we delve into best practices for using images and image optimization!
Love it, Divi Sac-Town! 🙌🏼
Divi Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
From the Host, Dustin Olsen:
Attendees: 15
What a great Meetup in August with Andrew Clark, from Duo Marketing Group, going through some important topics in the digital marketing space. He touched on these main points:
1. Engaging content strategy – Using a balance of photos and videos to convey information. Creatively break up lots of information.
2. CTAs and why you need them – Invite and give direction. Where do you want people to go/do when they come to the website
3. Social Media – Build a community, drive traffic. Not for the faint of heart!!
4. Google My Business Profiles – Show up for local listings
5. SEO – Targeting keywords/blogging/questions/phrases/update site to rank better.
The energy from this group has me hyped!
Divi Tampa, Florida, USA
From the Host, Steve Willingham:
Attendees: 4
If you know anything about Tampa, you know about Tampa’s rich history with pirates – Arrrrg, ye clearly must know the capt’n will be protect’n the crew. With the Covid on the rampage yet again, our ship weathered thru this blistering storm and headed back to Virtual port to keep our Divi crew safe! (Sorry, my pirate speak is a bit rusty, but what the heck, we always have fun at our meetups.)
We had 4 members attending out of 7 sign-ups. Attendees were from Tampa Bay, but one was joining from Nova Scotia, Canada. We discussed and shared our wisdom and experiences across several topics including website security, the new Divi update with loading speed improvements, website backup options, and other interesting relevant goodies. Moving forward, we’ll likely be on board with our virtual Divi-Tampa meetups for a while, Arrrrg, until this Covid beast is beaten into submission and our Meetup ship can set sail again into open waters!
Yes, Tampa! So excited! 🤸🏻♀️
