Hello, Divi Fam! It’s time for another community update!
Summer has arrived and the dog days are in full force. With so many humans skipping town for much-needed vaca, our local communities are smaller. This is a perfect opportunity for us to take our own mini vacation with our meetup groups!
I’ve said this before but one of our favorite ways to handle the smaller crowd is to host a social. It’s simple. Choose a restaurant, brewery, or the like, and invite your community out to break bread together. It’s one of the best ways to build trusted relationships which is crucial to our mental health and avoiding burnout.
If in-person isn’t an option, online can still be fun! You can host an online Happy Hour or Trivia Night. Whichever way you choose, don’t talk shop. Okay, you can talk a little shop, but focus on getting to know each other personally and watch your community grow. The best part is it grows as a community built on trust. 💯

It was [the most] fantastic in-person meetup ever we did. All participants were happy to join each other to know better about the Divi builder. I have introduced “Elegant Themes” and the Divi Pager builder the Master of Web design. Yes, it’s now trending in web design and we believe it will do better for us in [the] future.
Yesss, Divi Dhaka! 🤸🏻♀️

DLAM has been off for a few months. June saw its first event in six months. More are in the works.
With this month’s event, our host, Julius Lopez, Co-owner of Trivessa, performed a live demonstration for a small audience on how to migrate a website with nothing more than a text editor.
In his demonstration, he migrated a website hosted on DreamHost to a Local by Flywheel residing on his computer. Within fifteen minutes, the site was live inside Local by Flywheel on his computer.
With time remaining Julius quickly demonstrated how to use Flywheel’s migration plugin to move a website from DreamHost to Flywheel. The purpose was to inform those in attendance that there are free options for moving a website from one host to another, that are easy to implement and time-efficient.
Look out for more presentations and demonstrations in future DLAM events.
Are you a resident of the Greater Los Angeles Area? Do you love Divi? Would like to present, or become a co-host of Divi Los Angeles Meetup? Contact Julius via email at: [email protected]. 🙌🏼

For our June Meetup, we offered the first of our Divi Learning Lab series. During our “How Would You Fix It?” meeting, we looked at a few live websites and asked if members could identify and note how they would fix the visual issues. We also showed a few “before and after” demo pages with deliberate goofs and challenged members to find those errors, too. And we discussed a web page that visually looked the same as a terribly-structured page to show that even though a site may look good, it may not perform well with regards to Search and Accessibility.
In our Monthly Q&A meeting, we had some fantastic discussions about various plugins people have been using recently, cookie consent pop-ups, and how to promote a web design business and attract new clients. Our summer schedule will be light, with guest speaker Kyle Akerman talking about Google Analytics 4 in July, and a regular Monthly Q&A in August.
Join Divi Sacramento for some continued Divi learning opportunities! ♥️

hi, how can i switch from my template to Divi ?
Have you purchased Divi? If you haven’t then go here, https://www.elegantthemes.com/join/. FYI, your existing page layouts are made using a different theme so you’ll have to recreate them using Divi or create new layouts. Divi has premade layouts also which can be view here, https://www.elegantthemes.com/layouts/.
