Hi, Divi Creators! Welcome to this season’s edition of our Divi Community update! Spring has sprung and our organizers have been working to cultivate relationships amongst their communities. We love creating warm, welcoming communities. And this update is totally full of them.
Have you ever walked into a meetup and been met with the best smile that made you feel amazing? I have, and it truly makes the difference between a cold and dying community versus a warm and thriving community. The latter is what we create amongst our Divi Meetup communities. We have plenty of examples in this post to show you just how it’s done.
But first, check out our current stats and community updates below.

Let’s Welcome Our New Divi Meetup Communities & Hosts
Please give a warm welcome to our new hosts! Since we last updated you, we’ve onboarded two new Divi communities with two new Divi meetup hosts, and one new Divi meetup co-host! 😮💨 So, let us introduce you!
Divi Toledo, Ohio, USA
Meet the host, Jordan Barnett:
Howdy! I started playing classical piano at 9 and discovered HTML in the late 90s as a teenager. Currently, I am a web designer and audio engineer. We build websites and record music for all kinds of artists.
I think it would be extremely useful to have a local Divi support group/Meetup that can be a source of growth and community.
Welcome to our world, Jordan! We’re so excited to have you! 💥
Divi Warri, Nigeria
Meet the host, Purity Ochuko:
[I’m] a UI/UX designer and digital marketer who strive[s] and stand[s]s to inspire [growth for all.]
[I desire to create a Divi Warri community] to create an environment where one can share best practices, experience[s], problems, solutions, and growth.
We’re ecstatic to welcome another Nigerian community! Welcome, Purity! 💥
Divi Lagos, Nigeria
Meet the host, Olutaller Akinwole:
Olutaller Akinwole, is the Creative Director of TextStone Ventures, a digital marketing and Web development service firm. [He] works with businesses and entrepreneurs to craft effective web strategies, and build compelling websites that stand out [as] brand identities.
[He] graduated from the Department of Food Science and Technology, Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti, and, also, attended Ladoke Akintola University, Ogbomosho for Masters in Transport Management. Olutaller has successfully managed Transport Divisions of major airlines and companies in Nigeria.
He started website development 14 years ago with HTML and later moved to WordPress. In 2018, he stumbled on Divi [while researching] for [the] best page builder for WordPress. He has since stuck with Divi and has built over 30 websites with Divi.
Olutaller is a regular contributor and presenter at the Divi Lagos meetup.
We’re so glad you joined Ayorinde Ayodeji in leading Divi Lagos! Welcome! 💥
Updates from Existing Groups
Every month our community of meetup leaders gets together over a video call. On that call, we do intros and update each other with our respective groups’ wins and/or struggles. It’s a wonderful time of solidarity and learning. Ideas are seeded, advice is given, and relationships are built! Personally, I love this time with our Divi meetup leaders!

Divi Atlanta, Georgia, USA
From the Host, Mark Treager & Cammy Farone:

For our March event, Divi Atlanta was excited at the incredible turnout for our event on “Accessibility with Divi.” We were honored to have Sumner Davenport and Ron Amick as our guest speakers for this very important topic. There was so much valuable information shared on the need for every website to be built with accessibility features, and also great demonstrations on how to add those features in Divi. The video of the event will be posted soon.
Divi Atlanta is 💣!

This month Divi-Chicago attended a Mega Meetup hosted by Divi-Atlanta on Accessibility with Divi. We learned about the manual fixes that can be done to a website with Divi’s flexibility for stying taking into account people with disabilities accessing content in the website. Great presentation and information. Thanks to Divi-Atlanta for hosting the meetup.
Divi Chicago is 🔥!

We came back again. We decided to re-design and develop websites using Divi, after he was using other website builders, after the recent performance updates, gradient builder, and Divi Cloud. And we set the meeting twice a month to discuss new ideas and implement the design in a great and fast way, and the goal is to learn how to use Divi and new ideas… And more
Glad to have you back at it, Divi Egypt!

Sumner Davenport and Ron Amick, co-founders (with Jennifer Huang) of Accessibility Web + WordPress gave a fantastic presentation full of valuable information. We learned what is most important to know right now, what not to do, and
how to learn more as we all navigate updating and protecting websites for our clients and our own businesses.Links to resources and the most recent guidelines issued by the Department of Justice were shared for continued learning.
Virtual meetings have allowed us to connect and collaborate with Divi enthusiasts worldwide. We look forward to meeting you at an upcoming meeting.

Divi Sacramento, California, USA
From the Hosts, Rosalinda Huck & Elizabeth Hahn:
Attendees: March-24, April-21, May-21
March 2022
In March, Elizabeth gave a presentation on Copywriting for Websites; we discussed good practices, how writing for the web is different from writing for print media, and everything in between. (You can read our topic re-caps on our separate blog site, divisac.com/blog.) During our monthly Q&A meeting, several topics of interest came up, including responsive design, membership sites, image galleries, and how to best hand over Divi sites to clients. Plus, Divi Sacramento was grateful to both attend and support Divi Atlanta’s Mega Meetup on Accessibility for Divi. Stay tuned – we’re excited about offering new topics for discussion and a tentative guest speaker in Spring!
April 2022
In April, we welcomed guest speaker, Nathan B. Weller, Content Manager for Elegant Themes. We discussed and learned about content creation and strategy, and Nathan shared valuable tips and words of wisdom on creating web content. During our monthly Q&A meeting, we touched on a variety of Divi topics, including using the new Divi Cloud feature, setting up Divi Presets, using the Layers function, background patterns, and how to hand off completed sites to clients. Join us for exciting new topics in May, and another guest speaker in June!
May 2022
In May, we compared and discussed when to use the Divi Forms Module, and when to use a third-party plugin such as Formidable Forms or Ninja Forms, which included an overview of what those forms offer. During our monthly Q&A meeting, a few topics of interest included how to approach updating live sites without compromising databases, using Divi layout packs, and good practices to employ when working with new clients. Next month, we’re talking Google Analytics 4 with a special guest speaker… join us to learn more about what to expect in this new version!
Divi Sacramento, you are absolute ♥️!
Divi Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
From the Host, Dustin Olsen:

March 2022
We had some really great questions come up in our Q&A session this month. We talked about how to inspect and make specific mobile adjustments. We demoed how you can edit the “Footer Credits” in the bottom bar using Theme Customizer. We even talked about hosting options and enjoyed a little banter at the end. Always a great crowd!
May 2022
This month we did a quick demo of using Divi’s new background tools and features, showing off gradients, patterns, and masks. Also had some time to answer other questions and hear from those who came how they got started Divi and how long they’ve been doing it.
Divi SLC is ✨!
