Let’s Welcome Our New Meetup Group

Please give a warm welcome to our new host! March brought us one more Meetup group and we are excited to introduce you to the host.

Rajesh of Divi Kolkata

Rajesh of Divi Kolkata

Meet the host, Rajesh Ravidas:

I am an IT graduate by degree and heart. I enjoy what I do with technology. I have worked as a full-time trainer till 2016 but now I just enjoy that and teach those whom I find keen on that. I am enjoying website development since 2016 and I spend most of my time in that. If I am not working on a client project then you will find me discussing or doing something new with my team and friends. I have been making websites using Divi since 2017 and I love it. There is a lot to learn but time is limited, however, I don’t miss the chances to check if any Divians launch something new. Apart from [this], I love meditation and reading books that make me feel real.
[I want to lead a Divi Meetup group so I can] learn from others and share how I am growing using Divi.

They have already hosted their first virtual meetup but already have other virtual meetups scheduled! Be sure to check it out!

Updates from Existing Groups

A lot has happened just in the last 30 days. Our community, like all communities, has been affected. We have had to reassess and get back on our feet. Of course, for the time being, that means temporarily moving our in-person meetups to virtual meetups. Emotions are all over the place and we are allowing some time to allow our organizers to gather their bearings during this transition period but, some of our communities got right to it!

Check out the monthly happenings of our communities below!

Divi Auckland, New Zealand

Divi New Zealand

Divi New Zealand

From the Host, Robert Robertson:

We had a great group gathering of half new people in Auckland and the regulars. The focus was on the new Divi scroll effects which was a wonderful success.
Next month We are moving to a virtual event, as New Zealand is in lockdown without us being able to leave the house unless food shopping or self isolated exercising. This is a great time for web builders as we are in major demand dispute the nervous world events.

The community here is ready to meet and learn! Get involved.

From the Hosts, Joan Margau & Scott Winterroth:

In March, the Divi Chicago Meetup toasted Divi Layout Packs with a well-received presentation by co-organizer Joan Margau. She shared how to build a WordPress website quickly with the many Divi Layout Packs and tips for properly intermix layouts to create the look you want. For April, Divi Chicago will go online for a virtual presentation on how to “Make it Rain” with WooCommerce and Divi, a presentation by Divi Chicago co-organizer Scott Winterroth.

This community of Divi users is pumped. Do be sure to check them out!

Divi Columbus cancelled our March meetup but we’ll be returning in April with a virtual event. It’s been a wild time for everyone and while I never like missing a meeting I’m glad we got a chance to re-group and think about next steps. Looking forward to meeting with and encouraging my fellow Divi users here in Columbus, Ohio.

The Columbus community is warm and welcoming!

From the Host, Jube Dankworth:

With the local government closing down the county just 3 days before our meeting, we did not have time to curate an online meeting. We canceled the March meeting. However, we have gained 14 new members to the group. Our co-coordinator was able to give a workshop on Divi to the local WP group. We look forward to our April virtual meeting.

Don’t be bashful and get involved with this group today!

The presenter is a new user of DIVI and even WordPress and is passionate about using it… …Thank you and be well. See you soon!

Rosalinda of Divi Sacramento

From the Host, Rosalinda Huck:

Greetings from Sacramento, California! Our Divi Meetup didn’t congregate in March due to coronavirus concerns, and we will likely do a virtual Meetup for April. Until then, I’m hunkering down at home with the hubby and dogs, and drinking lots of tea! To local Divi Meetup members, and fellow Divi Meetups across the nation and around the globe — please be safe and practice social distancing. If we work together and do our part, the better we can get through this!

Divi Salt Lake City

From the Host, Dustin Olsen:

For March, Divi Salt Lake City had a happiness bar and our best turnout yet of people coming to learn more about Divi and get answers to specific questions on their websites. The more people we get, the more we can share and learn what has worked for others to overcome similar situations. It was a great meetup this month with a full room, looking forward to future Happiness Bars.

Join this group and learn all about using Divi!

Divi Seattle

From the Hosts, Bradon Garley & Shane Griffiths:

We had a virtual meetup in March via Google Meet. It was a smooth transition to an online meetup, and I think the format worked well. We had several new members attend who otherwise may not have because of travel restrictions. This month we gave a demo on Divi’s new Positioning feature and Scroll Effects feature. We built a simple Divi site to show how elements behave and interact with each other using Relative, Static, Absolute, and Fixed positioning. For the Scroll Effects, we went over how the interface works and how to achieve an impressive design easily. We also touched on the performance impact of using too make effects, and examples of real-world applications on client websites.

The Divi Seattle community doesn’t skip a beat! Get in on the action!

Divi Tampa, Florida, USA

Steve of Divi Tampa

Steve of Divi Tampa

From the Host, Steve Willingham:

Our Divi Tampa “March Meeting of Minds” was obviously canceled as the coronavirus began to rear its ugly head in the Tampa bay area. We hope everyone has been weathering through these strange and unusual times and hopefully staying well. We are TENTATIVELY scheduling our next meetup in late May during what we hope to be a time when we, as a community, are recovering both healthwise, and economically as a whole.
But please be assured, if the health safety indications aren’t there in mid-May and there is still a health risk, we are prepared to postpone this out as far as necessary to help protect our wonderful Divi web developers, friends, and community.
To all of the Divi family across the globe, the Divi Tampa community wishes you strength and wellness as we wade through these uncharted waters together.

The Divi Tampa group is super engaging. Take a peek!
