  1. Just for info
    #13 Professional Business
The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.
    I messaged them.

  2. Basic divi templates are really enough to create sites!

  3. Let’s face it, 90% of Divi child themes are total garbage. I like this article because it narrows down the field quite a bit.

However, anyone shopping for a Divi child theme with some knowledge knows that the most important areas where a Divi child theme can help are theme-dictated areas such as the header, footer, sidebars, blog archive pages and possibly fonts and colors.

But most Divi child themes don’t put much effort into these areas…

I see big fat errors all over the place, lack of precision, lack of attention to detail with many of Divi child themes.

It’s like developers start working on a child theme and halfway through they kind of fizzle out.

I’d happily spend the $50-150 for a child theme, knowing that it would save me 10+ hours on of development time on any particular site build.

    But I’m routinely unimpressed.

I’ll give Divi Business Pro an A+ for effort here. It seems like they (Aspen Grove/Divi Space) really understand the function of a child theme.

Not to reference any one child theme presented here (others seem to be of respectable quality), but most Divi child theme developers need to go back to the drawing board and try providing more value.

    • Totally agree I have looked at all of them and also feel the same I was about to write something similar but you have done great job saying it. There such a lack of precision using a great tool like divi.

Many so called designer take for granted the level of flexibility divi offers and get lazy, exchanging quick turn around theme to make money rather than creating great theme which will be useful.

Considering divi already have template which are sinificantly better than many theme charging up to $100…Frankly I rather get the divi life membership and benefit from constant education, insane size community, great design and new template or theme each month and…constant support. That to me is a far better investment.

In all I totally agree with you Matt.

The good thing is that when this blog shows you what others are making it reminds me why im glad i design my own and take the timeto make it right rather than buy other people mediocre work.

      Great blog as always

  4. Thanks for including Divi Business, Randy! 🙂

  5. Can someone help me understand the difference between one of the Divi pre-made layout packs…and these pre-made Child themes?

  6. This all look very nice but I am honestly not a fan of using child themes because you are then at the mercy of that developer to ensure your site is updated and secure. I stick with Divi Theme and use templates for that specific reason.

    • You mean paid template themes, I believe. Child themes are necessary for modifying any theme without touching the theme’s core files.

    • Most Divi Child Themes are just the design and layout with minimal custom coding. So there typically isn’t anything that needs updating.

  7. These are creative and versatile consultant child themes for Divi. 3. Thrive and 5. Vivid are my favorites.
