How to Upload The Template
Go to Divi Theme Builder
To upload the template, navigate to the Divi Theme Builder in the backend of your WordPress website.
Upload Blog Post
Then, in the top right corner, you’ll see an icon with two arrows. Click on the icon.
Navigate to the import tab, upload the JSON file which you were able to download in this post and click on ‘Import Divi Theme Builder Templates‘.
Save Divi Theme Builder Changes
Once you’ve uploaded the file, you’ll notice a new blog post template. Save the Divi Theme Builder changes as soon as you want the template to be activated.
How to Modify The Template
Open Post Template
To modify the blog post template’s elements, start by opening the template.
Keep Post Content Module Inside Template
Inside the Body Layout Editor, you can edit the design on the front end using the Divi Builder just like you would with a normal Divi page.
Since this is a template that has been assigned to all posts for the site, there is a post content module that is necessary for displaying the post content. You will need to keep that module in place, but you can adjust the design elements of the post content module which will design the post content that is displayed dynamically.
About the Layout
This blog post template has a lot of dynamic elements that will work with your blog posts immediately. For example, the entire post header is made up of dynamic elements including a featured image as the background, the post title, and the post metadata. This content won’t need updating, but you can tweak the design of each of those elements if needed.
Other dynamic elements in this layout include the following:
- Post Content – displays the post content added when editing the post on the backend of WordPress.
- Post Author Bio – displays the profile info (pic, name, bio) for the user/author of the post.
- Post Navigation – provides previous and next buttons to the post.
- Comments – a functional comment area for the post.
Here is a quick illustration that identifies the elements of the freelance writer blog post template.
Add Email Account to Email Optin Module
To allow the Email Optin Module to collect subscribers, you’ll need to link an email account.
Add Social Media Links
Then, add a link to each one of the social networks in the Social Media Follow Module.
Add Links to Categories
Last but not least, make sure you change the content and links in the blog categories section.

This is a brilliant layout! I love the bold yellow and quirky fonts… I am going to be implementing this one on a site I bought off Flippa… Mostly for the domain name but the site was pretty decent when I got my hands on it! I’m a huge fan of Divi and have one of the other pre-made layouts on my agency site. Would love it if the guys (and gals) at ET released layouts for the individual service pages and for the portfolio items… that would be dope af!

I just tested this layout given by you, and seriously it’s really looks cool than any ordinary template. But, being a newbie i don’t know how to change the background color of this ‘freelancer layout’. Moreover, do it have the option to choose multiple colors? just curious to know about it. Else, it’s a complete premium package, i would say. Waiting for your reply,

Hello Lalit,
Don’t make the mistake of many first time web designers. Yes, Divi does not require coding of web programming skills, but that doesn’t mean that it doesnt require any form of knowledge to use it properly.
I’ll advice you, if you really want to make websites that are worth the investment of purchasing Divi, them please head over to the Divi YouTube channel and get start devouring some of those intro videos…
Without this, don’t be surprised if you lose interest in web design altogether because of the headaches and bad designs you’ll be making.
