Why Choose a Landing Page Theme?
Regardless of the product or service you want to promote, landing pages have one goal: clear out the distractions and let your page focus on one thing – conversion. A well-designed landing page will place your call to action front and center, and give your readers the information and the nudge they need to move through your call to action. It needs to focus on your CTA and support it with information.
What I’m Looking For
For this list I looked for themes that place the CTA (call to action) “above the fold” – meaning that the CTA was on the screen when the page loaded. I’m also looking for supporting elements that nudged the visitor carefully into the CTA. Supporting elements above the fold include images, videos, text, headings, etc.
Many of these themes have menus (and maybe even too many for a landing page) but some of them have a way to hide them for the landing page. Most have lots of layout options and customizations, but they also have pre-built layouts so you can get started quickly.
Content below the fold needed to support the CTA. Elements such as testimonials, examples, supporting facts, etc. It’s okay for that section to scroll and contain lots of info as long as the reader can understand the layout and even ignore that part of the site if they want and still be nudged into your CTA and sales funnel.
Best Landing Page WordPress Themes
I chose themes that are clean, modern (but they didn’t have to be new), and focused on conversion. Let’s take a look at 15 of the best landing page WordPress themes.
1. Divi
Divi, from right here at Elegant Themes, can build any type of website you need. It has many layouts built-in including a landing page that includes a heading, image, call to action, blurbs, another image, and another call to action. It places the focus on your product and CTA. The CTA module includes a button and text. You can modify the colors, fonts, styles, etc., and even include custom CSS within the module or any section of the page. One of the most useful tools, and one that makes Divi stand out from the crowd, is built-in a/b split testing (known as Divi Leads). You can test as many versions of your layout as you want and get statistics showing which has the best result.
Divi includes the drag and drop Divi Builder, Divi Leads, close to 50 content modules, 32 premade layouts, icons, and more. It’s completely customizable and has tons of header options. Hi Randy,
Thanks very much for the list.
I’m looking at the options about landing pages for my business and struggled with if I should go with monthly subscription one like “LeadPages” or should I buy a WP Theme like what you listed above?
If you could please give some advice that would be great appreciated.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Great landing page collection. Keep going.
I have used the Covertible theme with great success. I’ll test Divi too.
Wow, its a great collection landing page themes. thats good for landing but there are many other like landing page.
A lot of my client sites are converting extremely well with divi. Need to start using the A/B testing functionality though 🙂
Thanks for updating us.. my question is this for wordpress websites… how can i compress css and In-line css errors solved without changing a theme most of time i didn’t have options to add or edit things like supported plug-in I installed but that not works properly.. any solution please share
This aplenty , thanks yes.
Can we achieve same with drag and drop page builder plugins for WordPress ? Like WP Bakery.
Some of the landing page WordPress themes from premium devs even broke the SSL padlock when we tried to install the demo content for some of our clients.
Wow, seriously its a great collection landing page themes. Divi is good for landing but there are many other like landing page from thrivethemes, Landlr, Kodax tec.
Thanks for this great post.
Thank you for the update and summary on each of these. It will save me time when I need to choose which WordPress theme on my next WordPress project.
Divi all the way! Why learn to use different themes and builders when you have it all with Divi.
The landing pages are really inspiring, thanks for sharing.
Amazing information, wordpress is my favorite platform and also elegant theme my favorit theme 😀
Great post! I’m using Divi for all. For me, it’s perfect!
Are there any landing page themes listed here with a once off cost? I am looking for something that I can reuse for multiple landing pages for one business website that doesn’t have a monthly or ongoing recurring charge.
I particularly dislike the “free” themes where you spend precious time creating an awesome landing page and then find you can’t do anything with it unless you pay a monthly fee…..not cool.
I’m planning to start a news website. which theme would you recommend?
Hey,
I am coming up with set of few landing pages copies along with video tutorials free and paid course series using DiviBuilder and Divi Theme.
Let me know, if your team is ready to help it.
Awesome list of word press landing page theme. Honestly you are the expert and i am beginner and i need your suggestion. please tell me which one is suitable for as a beginner : Personal / Developer / or Lifetime Access
Please reply
Thanks. Lifetime Access is by far the best deal. If you don’t go with Lifetime Access then I highly recommend the Developer plan because it includes the plugins. Bloom and Monarch alone are easily worth the extra price over the Personal plan.
@Biplab
It all depends on your usage. If you plan to use for a few years, it would be a great investment to choose the lifetime plan.
Hi Nathan,
I just started my first self-hosted site. Do these themes load right on top of the WordPress site like premium themes available through WordPress? I do need a landing page, and I thought it had to be an outside page. How do you connect it to Mail Chimp so that the email addresses are captured into a database?Does the theme affect the rest of the site?
Marsha Marsh Marsha, I can help you get this landing page thing handled…. and connecting your theme to your Mail Chimp thing handled. Feel free to visit my blog and contact me from my contact info there. All the best!
I’m planning on starting a blog in the near future mostly about homeschooling and it will have some affiliate marketing. I would love to have a good landing page but I just don’t understand Themes. Can you suggest a Theme that would possibly fit for Homeschooling?
I used Divi to build my homeschool site. It’s not finished but you can find it at http://longislandhomescool.com
I would suggest the DIVI theme for this task. Can we have more details on your affiliate marketing you need done??
it really depends on which theme makes you feel most empowered to fulfill your vision. A lot of these themes are multi-purpose, which means they can be made to fit many needs/niches.
We’ve tried to make Divi easy for anyone to build whatever website they want with no custom coding required–but easily added if they choose to. We’ve also added some new features–such as split testing–which make it easier for people to optimize their landing pages using real data instead of “gut feelings”.
No Thrive??? U’ve got to be kidding!!! They’re right up there with Divi!
Hi Jordan. Thanks for the info. I always find more that I want to add 🙂 Thrive Themes look really sharp. I think my favorite is Squared. What is yours?
Randy
Are these themes available in ElegantThemes.com or to purchase from other providers?
Only our own theme, Divi, is available here. But we’ve provided non-affiliate links above to all of the other themes.
Thank you for your post. Divi seems to clearly be the best to use for our site for website development and website design.
Same here Thomas, after looking the other themes I think that Divi is the most powerful, now I am sure that looking for other similar framework have no sense, Divi along a enough good design is the most powerful and versatile theme.
Thanks, glad to hear it 🙂
